About Me
- Name: Grateful Catholic
I was received into the Catholic Church in 1984 at the age of 30. May these reflections twenty-one years later express my continuing gratitude for the inestimable gifts I have received at her hands. I hope to offer here a little edification and an occasional chuckle to others who aim (and, if they're like me, all too often miss the mark) to live faithful Catholic Christian lives. I am not here to teach the Pope how to be Catholic, or to point out possible peccadillos of the Bishop of Punxatawney to people in Peoria. You will not find here a wide-ranging discussion of politics which assumes that fidelity to the magisterium requires unwavering support of every position favored by one political party or another, nor will you find a focus on scandal. If you are interested in the possibility of living a Catholic life, and find it almost impossible in this modern world, I hope that you find here a place of rest and refreshment.
